“Before the law”
Romans 5:13-14 (NKJV)
– “…sin was not imputed when there is no law”
- Before the law God was not imputing men’s personal sins (vs 13)
- Sin was wiping the human race out (vs 14)
God was not imputing sin – Examples
Adam and Eve (First sin) – consequences but no wrath
– He was protecting the tree of life by driving them from the garden (Genesis 3:23-24)
Cain (First murder) – consequences but no wrath
Noah – only eight righteous people on the earth
– Genesis 6:5 “…every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”
Abraham – Lied to a king to save his own neck
Jacob and his mother – Deceived Isaac

Deuteronomy 28:1-2; 15 (NKJV) – “observe to do all”
James 2:10 (NKJV) – “offend in one; guilty of all”
